If you want to see the laptop and customization options, here is the link
I recently purchased the MSI 17M Creator in order to more easily edit videos (it has not come in yet, will post a follow up review on this, if it is desired). Prior to this purchase, I used a base model 2013 Lenovo ThinkPad, that I purchased refurbished in 2017 for $200, for everything in my life. Having never upgraded it or anything since I originally bought it, itβs safe to say it had about as much RAM and processing power as a block of cheese.
Anyways, as someone working on a YouTube channel I have been in desperate need of a new device for editing purposes. The MSI 17 Creator is a laptop literally designed for content creators in mind. I worked and saved enough money to finally get a brand new computer for all this. The base model starts at $1,499, but I decided to go a bit higher, costing in total $2,280 for what I believe was an overall good deal, for a laptop at least. Follow the link above for what the base model comes with, but here is a brief overview of the upgrades I included.
-64GB RAM rather than 16GB -1TB Seagate Firecuda 520 M.2 SSD -2TB Barracuda storage -Grizzly CPU/GPU Thermal Compound -17.3β Tempered glass screen protector -All in 1 USB card reader and a webcam cover
Iβm pretty new to all the specs and all. I know that at least some of the upgrades and overall specs are good, but am unsure over how they will compare to the competition. Though it will definitely beat the crap out of my old laptop. Any advice or info you would have for going forward would be awesome!
