Laptop recommendations for an engineering student
Post Body
Hello! I am very obviously not too knowledgeable on computers, and am looking for recommendations on what kind of laptop to get that would run MATLAB, Solidworks, and similar programs. I would also prefer the price not to be over $2000.
I've been told gaming laptops are my cheapest and most efficient bet, but would like to know second opinions.

Thank you for the suggestions! I was also told that an integrated graphics card can run CAD software, but all the laptops I looked at that had one of those (at Best Buy lol) had price tags like $1500 or $1800 which can end up being over $2000 with warranty and all that. :(
