What’s a laptop that can check emails and print something twice a year that’s cheap and reliable?

I’m going to snap the laptop he has in half next time I have to play tech support - it took TWELVE MINUTES to open the internet, there’s never anything wrong it just needs to be restarted twice a week, but it’s half an hour of my personal hell 😅

Probably looking for something older on marketplace but would buy new, but he’d HATE something shiny and expensive, he won’t let me buy one for him and he won’t spend more than $150 (we’ve argued) - as far as he knows his computer is perfectly speedy.

I’ll scour the earth for anything that can boot up a google browser in less than 2 minutes. We have great internet for him it’s just the laptop he’s had since before I was born!!

Would love any direction or suggestions.
