I bought my Asus ROG laptop about 6 years ago, it recently started going much slower. I am getting way less FPS on most of my games that I play than used to (used to get steady 60fps on rdr2 now I get about 25 and massive stuttering) and I noticed that the battery life wouldn’t charge past 60% so I ended up buying a battery on Amazon and replacing it. My battery life now charges all the way up and I’m getting a little bit better FPS and not nearly as much stuttering as before, but still not quite like it used to be. I’m wondering what next steps I can take to help figure out what to do about this?
Specs: Intel i7-7700 @ 2.80 Ghz
16gb ram
64 bit operating system
Nvidia 1070
The laptop came with an SSD inside but I reformatted my hard disk space about a year back and somehow lost it (or merged it into my hdd, honestly not sure what I did, however my fps was still fine on all my games after this up until about a week ago)
