Compost Pile from the Summer
Post Body

My collection of compost I’ve been working on since June. Does anyone else do big piles like this, mixing by hand? Pics are deceiving- first 2 are 6x9x4. Takes about 2 hrs to mix in new stuff each week per pile. Any ideas how to get temps up over 150? My high so far has been 142. Straight grass is my greens and majority straw and some cardboard for my browns. Also add kitchen scraps as we have but doesn’t do much for piles that size.
