Teach your children to compost!
Dear redditors from around the world, if you have children, you might want to teach them the ways of composting!
It could be a fun way of teaching future generations and I believe that humankind’s ultimate goal is to leave the world better than they found it!
This sounds very cliche but after 3 years of beach clean-up and 6 months of composting, I’ve come to realize that some things take forever to compost!
This made me rethink all of my life choices for eg when I buy new clothes or order food deliveries. Styrofoam and Plastic Bottles takes about 400-500 years whereas kitchen scrap takes about 1-2 weeks!
"As inhabitants of the earth, we are nourished and sustained by Mother Earth who provides us our food and all the resources for life. If she is healthy and well, we will be healthy and well. Our fates are intertwined." —Dharma Master Cheng Yen
I hope this inspires you to do the same!
