So I got some veggies that were going bad from someone...quite a good bit of them...about 2 days later I put them in a blender and just made them into small pieces....life happened and I didn't get a chance to mix them with any leaves they just sat in a tote....they stink (not really my issue) but it has turned brown and kinda slimy.. haven't touched it just guessing.... Is it still usable? There's a whole bunch of mostly cabbage and celery and carrots....
I read something about like salmonella I don't know if it can poison the plant or what...
Also I know that earthworms are not the best compost worms because they go deep and don't stay on the surface but if I put my compost in a 4x4x4ft plywood box without a top will that work? They won't be able to dig away from the compost...
Thanks for any advice trying to get something going and the ground where I live isn't very fertile I don't think...I do have a river in my back yard of 3 acres...feel like I am getting behind when I read about people doing seedlings weeks ago
