Post Body

Iā€™m an electronic music producer, recently getting interested in writing music for a variety of instruments - including some of the orchestra.

For eg I would love to write a piano melody and then a violin melody complementing it and maybe add one more element like a simple synth bassline

I really want to improve writing countermelodies - it can really help when there are 2-3 instruments playing at the same time all complementary - it would add so much depth to my music

What kind of pieces shall I analyse and study so I can get tips on writing counter melodies?

Any particular composer or artist?
