Peirces ertha kitt story is confusing

In season 3 ep1 biology 101 pierce tells professor cain “i slept with ertha kit in an airplane bathroom, and these are the only people ive ever told” but the 3 episodes later in remedial chaos theory the timeline we are told is the one weve been watching and continue to watch pierce is cut off before he can tell anyone. So did he tell them off screen or is this just a plot hole in the show?
