I overheard a conversation today at work that infuriated me. Apparently an apartment caught on fire and the landlord knew there was faulty wiring but didn't fix it. And the guy that was telling this story was saying they started asking their landlord to check the wiring and also want a fire escape put in their apartment. How do people get away with this?
