I'm hoping to supplement my classes this semester with some reading of my own and am looking for recommendations on books about the family, marriage, dating, parenting, division of domestic labor etc.
So far I've got:
Engels' The Origin of the Family, Private Property, and the State (I am particularly looking for a good follow up to this as I would like to see something like this with more modern anthropological data)
The Revolution Starts at Home: Confronting Intimate Violence Within Activist Communities by Ching-In Jen, Jai Dulani, and Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha
Communism and the Family by Alexandra Kollontai
Woman Under Socialism by August Bebel
Thanks!
