Hello everyone! Im a 17 year old trans girl who currently is in the closet. I need some advice on coming out.
Pretty much i have 2 big issues i’ve been facing with coming out.
How do i come out? Ive been very confused about how i go about. Ive been thinking about posting something on my snapchat story but what would i say? Would it be easiest if i just start having my friends call me by my name and hope it spreads or should i post to snapchat or what should i do?
How bad is it afterwards? Im scared of all of the transphobia and bullying because i’ve been extremely bullied for most of my life and i don’t need to add fuel to the flame. I live in a small boater town in the metro detroit area and the people are either extremely conservative or completely liberal. There hasn’t been any extreme cases of bullying with someone coming out besides this one trans girl who’s pretty much a perv to my knowledge.
Pretty much i just wanna make sure that i’m going to be safe after i come out. Thank you guys!
