I just found out - via the RICC facebook page - that they are NOT ALLOWING outside food and drinks into the convention this year. What the literal heck?! I thought you could bring your own food to cons! I cannot even express how frustrated and stressed I am at this sudden new bit of information that I only find out about the day before. This is my first con, and I've already spent a LOT of money. Now they want me to spend more AND wait in super long lines for food as well??

Every site I've read recommends to bring your own snacks/lunch to cons, which my family and I were going to do, and now I dont know what to do.

Do they search your bags at RICC? Will they confiscate our lunches or water if we bring them??
