Hello everyone, I should preface this post by stating that after many years away I have gotten back into the hobby. Like so many of the "new" collectors out there, I found my old stash while stuck in lockdown and got bit by the collecting bug....AGAIN. Most important I feel like I should tell everyone that I actually read the books I buy, and don't just hide them away in the hopes that one will be the golden egg one day.
That being said I do have a question that is about the value, either perceived or realized of older and for that matter newer books. Bronze and Copper books would typically offer "bonus prizes" for purchasing the book (tattoos, inserts, posters, coupons) If these bonus are missing the book is deemed incomplete. (At least in the world of graded comics - I'm pretty sure you get the dreaded purple label from CGC) fast forward to modern books. A lot of books will offer a pull this tab and enter the code for additional online content (at least thr Marvel books I read do) So here is the question.....if the "tabs" from these books are removed, does that action make the books incomplete, or is this an acceptable action that will not detract from the books in the years to come?
