As a JSA book, this final issue of the series was absolute shit. Issue 11 should have been the final issue, and this should have just been a Stargirl/Courtney Whitmore 25th anniversary special.
That said, it was a beautiful issue and I absolutely teared up a little. I know Geoff hasn't written ALL of Courtney's adventures, but it seems like most or all of her New52 stuff has been retconned away, and THIS issue was him being ready to pass the torch and let someone else take the reins and allowing her to grow up a little. Johns' sister was 18 when she died, so having Courtney/Stargirl age up and move on seems somewhat fitting. Johns wrote Stargirl as he knew his sister, and I think he NEEDED to age her up and have her graduate high school in order for him to let her go and so she could become the woman his sister never had the chance to be.
So yeah, as a Justice Society finale, I give this issue a 1/10, blah, no good.
As a Courtney Whitmore and Stargirl story, I absolutely give it a 10/10.
Also, any Starman completists out there should absolutely pick up this issue. We get both Jack and Thom in two double-page spreads (basically just character-filled pin-ups), and then Jack ACTUALLY SHOWS UP at Courtney's graduation.
