Just sitting here thinking abt the good ole times. This game was my life from 2008-2011 until I got Xbox live for the first time in 8th grade, I’m now in my late 20’s. Just watched my old montages I put together when I was 11-12 and it got me reminiscing lol.

This game was my first introduction to any type of gaming community. Making friends by joining different clans and getting a mic to talk on team speak or ventrilo. I got super into it man, ended up meeting someone my age who litterally lived in the next town over and played against in little league. Becoming friends with other kids from the completely opposite side of the world from me was mind blowing. Then I got super into the competitive scene (WOGL) and it was a trip dude, being fkn 12 years old playing with grown ass men. Even got a spot in a wogl-p clan.

And I can’t forget abt all the different lobbies and events it was something else, the community was awesome.

IMHO I wish more games looked at the clan system they put together, it was so ahead of its time I think. You got to join a clan with a nice name/color emblem and they had a dedicated playlist for clan v clan, with your clan having a record and worldwide ranking. I remember joining a top 10 clan UpPeR CuT Inc. I thought it was the fkn shit. Going over to Xbox live to something like CoD and all a clan meant was having the same gamer tag or clan tag just seemed and still to this day is pointless.

And looking back now with how gaming has become more abt micro transactions, this game was the OG to me at least and it had me hook line and sinker…. Well it had my parents, all I would ask for Christmas or birthdays was nexon points. Thank god I didn’t have adult money back then 😂
