Water proof work

When it rains the water floods from the front door. Is there anything I can do?
Thinking about building a small slope or a wall. I don't mind redoing the entire pavement.
Currently I have a water pump but if it doesn't work it's a disaster in the house.
Any suggestions/recommended contractor?
