Will my diploma eventually be released?

Recent grad here with my final semester debt still outstanding. I know in some cases if we don't pay our debt then they send it to a collections agency. Was curious if anyone's had experience with this, and that if at that point they release our diploma since (I'm assuming) they sold our debt off? Appreciate any insight as to whether I get to see my degree before I eventually pay off the debt
