Edit: title is supposed to say contrast
I’ve been torn on if I’m a summer or a winter for a while, and I know the different is contrast. However, whenever I try to compare examples of winter and summer, I feel like the line drawn between them is super inconsistent. The only thing that makes me gravitate toward winter is that my hair is dyed jet black and I’ve been told it looks natural on me/had people surprised to learn it was dyed, and to my understanding, black isn’t summer-friendly. I just don’t understand what constitutes high contrast versus mutedness. Most common resources on color seasons throw me off because they’ll throw someone I would’ve guessed was a winter in with summers and it makes me question my understanding of contrast.
So please, if anyone is willing to explain this to me like I’m a kindergartener, I’d greatly appreciate it.
(Also, I just need to say it irritates me SO much that summer is cool and spring is warm. It makes no sense to me!! I feel like spring as an actual season is soft and bluey purple whereas summer is yellow and orange and sunshine! Who decided this????)
