50 m just had my first colonoscopy - prep wasn't too bad - added crystal light the prep was a bit thick, took me about 5 hours to drink. Took an hour for it to kick in lol. Big guy here, and surprisingly wasnt overly hungry, never thought id survive on liquid foods the day before. Just had jello and black coffee - oh how grateful i am for black coffee!!! :)
Day of, wasn't that bad either - was thirsty - but survived lol. Worst part was the IV - just a prick, but could still feel it for awhile. Waited about an hour or so - before my time...went onto the operating room, Dr put the fentanyl in, asked a how I was, I answered, he laughed. Then poof I was out...I woke up, felt like he was finishing up and I was rolling back to the waiting room.
They found 7 polyps - have to have another in 3 years. I have the pathology report- no clue what any of it means - am in between primary care doctors - am hoping if it's bad - or ?? Someone would contact me.
