My dad had a colonoscopy 8 months ago and everything was clear. A few days ago he had bleeding and they removed a 3.9cm polyp in the transverse colon. The doctor said he wasn't worried about it, but they are still sending it to biopsy. Everything I read online says conflicting stuff, like big polyps are more likley to be cancerous, but cancerous polyps take years (this one formed within 8 months). I'm still worried even though the doctor doesn't suspect anything bad. He is also 65 years old. Any reassurance?
