Is blood work necessary before a colonoscopy procedure?
Post Body

Hi! I have posted here about 2 weeks ago and in the end my procedure was rescheduled to this Friday(13th October).

I had bood work done 1 week before my supposed colonoscopy schedule. I've got the results and everything seems normal except for some slight elevations.

Anyway my question is, is the result necessary to be able to do the procedure? Is bloodwork/analysis even a requirement before having a colonoscopy? Anyway, I'll just bring my results from about 3 weeks ago to be sure.

Thank you. I'm really nervous about this as this my first time.
