Online class with required meetings?

Post Body

So I’m a little confused. I signed up for online classes, definitely not hybrid, they are listed as fully online. I have a prof in one of my classes who is making meeting with him to show him our labs every few weeks mandatory.

Is this enforceable? There’s a reason I’m taking online classes and I’ve never had this happen. Just looking for feedback, or seeing if anyone else has had this happen?

It’s not in the course description or the syllabus, that’s why I’m confused. I only know because he made an introduction video on Canvas explaining his expectations.

Ah gotcha. I stay home with my son during the day and work at night so I’m like… oh no lol. That’s why I’m taking online classes so I don’t have to meet in person (the meetings he wants are in person). Definitely will need to talk with him

From what I understand, in person
