So after being in community college for a year and a half and absolutely hating it, I transferred out to the 2nd (or 3rd i forget) state school in my state. Obviously that makes it not the most prestigious option but it was cheap and they took all of my credits. I didn’t earn a CC since i left early with a 3.9 GPA.
So I’ve been at the new school for a month and a half and it’s well…. okay. The fault is mostly on me as I didn’t get involved and left to go home right after class but well, the whole time I just felt kind of adequate, like I maybe made the wrong school choice. The school i am right now is okay enough academically, cheap and close to home but something feels empty. I’m 19 years old and I want to experience new things and grow as a person but right now it just feels stagnant. It’s not a bad school though. So I guess i get thoughts now and then to go to the big research state school but that’s more expensive and about 50 minutes more of a drive.
I don’t know if it’s worth it to transfer again but I feel like i’d be happier elsewhere. But i also think that i have no right to judge the school i’m at right now yet. I’m concerned for my future since I don’t know if name brand schools matter but also my experience at the school. Any advice on what i should consider?
