Hey Reddit. So I'm applying to the business major within my university and one of the essay questions we have to write is a personal statement addressing multiple introspective questions including "articulate your current short-term (immediately upon graduation) and long-term (5 years post-graduation) career goals and how you have explored and chosen these goals." I have a pretty good idea for what I want to do in life and where I want to end up, but hit a wall for this question because I'm just a sophomore that hasn't identified their "passion". I love making music and the music industry, but I'm not sure that answer would take me that far in a business school application. I know that I want to stay in school post-graduation for my MBA in marketing, but I don't have any solid, well-defined goals for a certain job position five years down the road. Honestly, I find it pretty ridiculous because who has a goal to end up as say, an assistant content manager at this point in their life? I've been thinking about this for days but I can't seem to come up with a goal I could write about in a sincere, authentic manner. How can I go about creating one and writing strongly about it?
