Hey everyoneee, its my first post on this subreddit but i just wanted to share some of my concerns with going away to college..

I graduated a few months ago and its finally time to move out of my hometown, gonna go study a year long program with NO breaks whatsoever and it makes me so extremely anxious that i wont be able to see my family or my dog for an entire year so suddenly and out of nowhere.. Has anyone else felt this??? Like some sort of sinking pain in your chest right before leaving.. Im super nervous haha and my flight leaves tomorrow :'D

I've always lived here, and just thinking abt leaving for a year makes me feel so scared. Spending christmas with my family made me feel much worse because i love them and i kind of feel like i need them, almost like living alone isnt a possibility for me

Also what hurts the most is leaving my dog here, sadly.. the guilt is too much.. but at least she'll have a home and my parents
