I’m set to graduate this semester with a degree in Liberal Studies. I know. It’s worthless and will not provide me many opportunities post grad. I’ve taken a significant interest in computer science and have been teaching myself programming within this past year. I’m currently working a full time job that pays decently but not great. I’m incredibly bored in this role and I’m able to complete my workload rather quickly and devote the rest of my time to self study. My plan of action would be to take online courses while continuing to earn money in my current role. I would love to pursue a career in cyber security and without a comp sci degree I feel like the self taught path will be considerably more difficult. With one semester left would you say it would be worthwhile for me to change majors?
