Hey everyone,
I'm currently working in a psychology lab (my major is in the psych department), but I'm feeling a bit uncertain about my role and opportunities for growth. While I'm heavily involved in the grunt work, I haven't been given many chances to participate in the scientific side of things like writing or presenting, despite expressing interest and asking several times.
I've noticed that some of my peers in similar positions seem to have more opportunities for involvement in research and presentation. I wonder if this is because they’re mostly in “harder sciences” outside of psychology.
I'm torn between staying and hoping for more opportunities or looking for other ways to gain the experience I crave. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
