Choosing a major for older student
Post Body

I'm an older student looking to get into school, mostly for visa. My first choice for major was nursing, as it might help me get a Greencard. Nothing else seems an almost guarantee.

The local community college won't allow me to do nursing, as an international student.. They'll let me do Health Sciences, which I can use for credits to transfer into a university for BSN.

I'm not sure about spending money for health science course, as I don't know how I'd use that in real life, if the transfer doesn't work.

Other options they have is Cyber security which sounds more specific in the job market, as opposed to a general IT degree like Computer Science or Management of Information systems..which they also have.

Maybe I could do Cyber security, and look for CNA, LPN on the side?

Accounting might be another option, but I did try for CPA in my home country and found it very boring. I enjoyed doing reconciliations for work and investing as a hobby.. but they don't have a specific major in that.. it's general Business studies?

I'm not really a hands-on person for courses like welding, HVAC etc Might do truck driving in future though.

What other profitable majors might work for me, for status and job/business opportunities?
