Taking a year or summer break off
Post Body

Hi everyone! I 24F am in my second year of college. I have been going almost nonstop since I started school because I was hoping to finish on time or early if it was possible. My goal is to be able to teach English in Japan or elsewhere and I need a bachelor's degree for ot

At this point, I am burnt out and am going to take a break. I was told by my therapist to find some other way to go to Japan in the meantime and luckily there are ways I can do it for the short term. My intent was to work and save money, buy a passport and go when I saved up enough.

However, I was told by someone else that I should only take the summer off because the longer I'm not in school, the harder it would be to have the motivation to go back. I still wanna get my bachelor's and I feel like I don't have enough time as I am 24..young I know, but I don't wanna end up having a family, job and school all at the same time, while it's possible, it would be too much I think. Hell, I already feel a bit wary on having to take summer off to begin with because I feel like it would take me more than 4 years to finish already.

So, I guess I need some suggestions on what I should do going forward.
