Help! We found an old key and lock collection. They are very dirty though! How to restore them? (X-post to /r/antiques)

Cool collection of old keys and locks that almost got thrown out. They are very dirty though and someone just put them in water and soap. I think that would cause rust. Is there a good solution to clean and restore these keys and locks? Below is a link to the image. Help me Reddit!
