On civil war
Post Body

Here’s a topic that seems to be coming up more of late. As I was discussing the topic the other day, we were exploring the point that a civil war of any sort seems hard to imagine here since we don’t have politically defined borders or a specific political battle to win (as was the case w the original civil war). Could a trump impeachment ever get entrenched enough to cause civil strife? Are we all ultimately too mixed up to ever fight each other? It seems that a cyber attack or something huge that disrupts our supply lines could change our reticence to fight, but even if the lights went out for weeks on end in certain areas, it seems that no one side would ever get more organized and militarized than a gang of pickup trucks w mounted machine guns. Is a civil war remotely possible in the next 1 - 10 years? What would it possibly look like?
