After starting cold showers back in November, I wasn't expecting it to turn my life around to include working out and getting into shape. But after doing something that many people say 'they can't' has given me the attitude I can do anything that I want.
After going strong with cold showers, I moved into fasting in order to lose weight. I purposefully developed a phobia of elevators so I don't even take elevators anymore. I walk the stairs. Even with the bathroom on the 5th floor at work, I walk down to the 1st floor via the stairs.
I stopped drinking Mt Dew daily and I reduced the amount of sugar I put into my diet. After losing 23 lbs, I am so very happy that I've started this journey of educating myself on eating healthy and taking better care of myself. I work out twice a week, I do Tai Chi, and I still do the cold showers before and after workouts.
All of this healthier living all started from 1 cold shower.
Btw, one thing that I've noticed is that I haven't gotten sick since starting the cold showers. Even with my nose getting a little stuffy, it doesn't go beyond that point. I wonder if the cold showers are better than taking a flu shot?? lol
