I've decided to only take cold showers because of the many benefits whether they be psychological or proven facts. What I do know is this:
The first time I took a cold shower over a week ago, I can honestly describe it as a 'traumatic' experience. I screamed, curled up, breathed out heavily, and let out a few expletives. Everyday got a little easier and easier in the morning. I don't start out warm and then cold.. that's stupid.. just do it. Turn on the cold water and get it over with.
Now I'm over 10 cold showers and my reaction now to the cold is a slight movement. What I've noticed is that I no longer require lotion for dry sky. My skin is amazing.. it feels so soft and not as rough. I have a way better tolerance for the cold because now I don't need to wear a lot of clothes in order to stay warm. I was even thinking of turning off the water heater in my house but I need hot water for the washing machine and dishwasher. When I mention to my friends and co-workers about the benefits of cold showers and that they should try it, I get a 'hell no' or there is no way or that's not for me type answer.
Would I recommend cold showers? Absolutely YES! If you can get thru cold showers, you can do anything!
