Does alternating cold and hot count?

I do 4 minute intervals of 2 minutes cold followed by 2 minutes hot 3 times in the morning. Does this count as cold therapy, or to get the full advantage of that would I have to add a purely cold shower or cold plunge to get the full benefits of cold therapy?
Btw, I always feel amazing after these showers, I even wake up craving the cold water most days.
