I was wondering if I can make a cold brew using a bag of premade bag of cafe de olla (LA monarca bakery from Costco)? Last time I made it with a French press it tasted weak. The bag as been in the pantry for months so the coffee is probably lost it's freshness by now. Would the cold brew properly extract with the sugar and Cinnamon bark that is already mixed in? I could not find any info online, is it stilly to want to try to make a cold brew with this?
I even tried boiling it with water like Armenian/Turkish coffee and straining it, it came out so so. I have not tried it as a pour over yet.
Has anyone tried to make cade de olla/cafe de Oro into a cold brew or is it too crazy of an idea?
