Regardless of whether Cody actually looks at this subreddit, this place exists for Cody Ko’s audience to share ideas about him and his content.

It is important that information regarding the allegations made against Cody Ko, as recently amplified by D’Angelo Wallace’s video, is shared amongst Cody’s audience. As a long time viewer I am shocked that I am first hearing about these allegations now, and can see how important it is that we pop the bubble of censorship Cody and the commentary community have maintained.

Discussing allegations of this manner, even if they are “unconfirmed” does not qualify as “spreading drama” in the sense that the rules of this subreddit were meant to prevent, and the moderators of this subreddit certainly know that. The act of removing posts aiming to spread awareness of the allegations against Cody is both cowardly and selfish.

I can understand the fear of losing a community, and how uncomfortable feelings of sadness/betrayal surrounding this situation may be; but these feelings cannot be labeled as erroneous “drama” and hidden from Cody’s fanbase any longer. Fortunately, I believe that outside of protected spaces such as this subreddit the pressure against Cody is strong enough now that he will be forced to respond.

Regardless, it is essential that community members are able to discuss these issues here going forward. There is no sense in trying to protect this space for other kinds of content until it is better understood whether Cody Ko should be producing content in the first place.

If this post is to be taken down, I would appreciate at least a brief message explaining what doing so is intended to accomplish.
