Thoughts on a tinychat or irc for reddit "matchmaking"?

Sorry if this already exists; I haven't heard about it yet, though. A lot of people make posts asking for people to play with, so I figured it would make things easier if we had some kind of chatroom where people looking for a group could join and get their game on that much faster.
Thoughts? Desires? Concerns? Favorite bands?
