Mulled Wine Conundrum
Post Body

I've been researching mulled wine recipes for a family get-together, but I have some family members who absolutely HATE anything remotely licorice tasting, especially star anise. Given that most mulling spice mixes and recipes I've seen call for star anise, is it still worth trying to make mulled wine for this group? I was thinking of adding in some cardamom to compensate for the loss of complexity.
