Got a bag from a new plug, smells kind of like vinegar?

The bag has a weird smell, closest thing I can think of is vinegar, but it doesn’t really smell like that. I gummed a little and it took like 5 min to feel the numbness. The rocks look good and it feels greasy, but the smell is sketching me out.
