Someone told me that all raw or "fishscale" you see is already cut/rerocked by the brick when first obtained making it 60-70%, is this true?

I always thought it was cut but cut down from high 90s percentile to maybe like 80-85%, only gaining like 10%-15% extra in total but my buddy told me that nah the yayo is already cut when first obtained in kilo quantities and thus cut even further.
I can tell sort of when something has been cut or rerocked as it will not be as soft or sort of fluffy but I have no way to actually test the purity so I would like someone else's input if possible.
