I am currently a pre cna at a skilled nursing facility. I worked my first 12 hour shift and it was intense by the end of the day. My back, thighs, and legs hurt. I do enjoy helping the residents and plan to continue to work in the field. I have an upcoming shift Friday-Sunday that will be 12 hours and will have these shifts every 2 weeks and wondering what advice you give for taking care of myself to prepare. I plan to go the gym and do yoga twice a week because Iām not active and maybe going out to eat/bar that Sunday night after. I was thinking the day before getting rest, taking a bubble bath, reading, and watching movies. I know once I am CNA and have more responsibilities it will be more physical labor and want to prepare as well. Thank you!
