30 years old and going back to school for the first time ever at a local community college. I struggled a lot in highschool. I just went to my orientation yesterday and got help signing up for a few classes to start my first semester. Those classes are general phycology, a first year in college type course she recommended, and then a English type of class. So 3 bc I'll be doing online since I work which makes me a part time student. She recommended these classes just to get a feel for things for me and see what I like because I'm really stuck on the healthcare route or even like social work counseling type job. Also up to even more ideas! I'm still not sure! My questions are do these sound like good classes to start out and do I need anything to prepare? And another question I had is would it be too much or wasteful to take a CNA course or something along those lines on the side just to broaden my horizons? Or should I focus on the classes I'll be starting in college in the fall. I'm a PCA for a child currently and I love it. Any advice for college in general as starting out etc. thanks!!
