I was studying on the quiet floor earlier and there were three whole-ass different groups having full conversations at the same time. for multiple hours. goddamn
Are you in CS?
Hell, I did decision science, and there was DADSS a famously hard course where it was pretty normal to have to pull all nighters for the final group project.
Most majors, sure. Â But there are specific paths that yes, have hard or intensive enough coursework that you did have to pull an all-nighter here or thereÂ

What I’m saying is contingent on not taking like 5 technical classes a semester
CMU isn’t known for bringing in students who want to just coast lol.  I was doing a double major (SDS and Intl Relations) on top of playing rugby and working as an undergrad research assistant for two different professors (one in CS and one in SDS).  Even without taking 5 technical classes a semester - which I also had to do to be able to take a full year abroad as required by my IR major - I had a plate full enough that I would have to do all nighters 5-6 nights a semester.
