SaskPoliticker Meets with Press to Discuss an Economic Plan of Growth that Works for Everyone

Mr. SaskPoliticker, Seth Morrison CBC, Canadians want to know why your plan is for economic growth in Canada given a declining age demographic and falling labour productivity across Canada

“Thank you very much for the question Seth, it’s one I haven’t seen other candidates address. I’ve taken action on this front in Government before, but in essence, we need to refocus, recertify, and reconcile.”

“Our migration system is inefficient, a block of Swiss cheese, full of holes. We can refocus on economic migration to solve our housing crisis and end labour shortages in Canadian trades while supporting a suffering agriculture sector.”

“Many of today’s jobs have grown more skilled than ever, but these skills are unrecognized. We need to recertify jobs in Agriculture and Technology as Red Seal Trade, and add a Blue Seal for Healthcare and Education to attract, retain, and develop the workforce we need for a modern growing economy.”

“We need to aggressively pursue reconciliation, supporting Indigenous communities with investments, and partnering with these communities to create jobs, create community associations, support historical cultural roots and traditions, and ensure equal opportunity and supports for Indigenous Canadians to get ahead.”

Merle Donaldson, Global News. What is your plan to grow an economy that truly works in favour of every Canadian?

“That’s absolutely an essential question Merle. I’ve been pursuing efficiency throughout my tenure so far, but here’s our CCF plan; Crowns, Cooperation, and Capital.”

“I’ve spoken much of Crowns. Our capital plan will introduce Ag Crowns, Telecom Crowns, and Mining Crowns to address market failures and lacking competition. We’ll aggressively pursue reductions in cost, and give producers more while consumers pay less.”

“In terms of cooperation, we need to encourage workplace democracy, co-operatives, and the 4-Day Work Week. These types of organizational structures and policies all lead to massive productivity gains. My previous plan as Finance Minister indicated the extent to which a work week change would grow our economy for everyone while addressing the healthcare and mental health crisis in Canada. If we add in workplace democracy and cooperative ownership, we’ll see a boom that allows us to surpass our neighbours in growth on an indefinite basis.”

“We’ve reducing red tape already, and are fixing the tax system to provide and attract capital investment.”

“Our plan is to protect the interests and wealth of Canadians, build Canadian wealth, keep more in Canadian pockets in exchange for better services, keep Canadians out of poverty, focus on full employment, give every Canadian an affordable home, and engage every Canadian as a stakeholder in their own economic prosperity.”

“That’s Growth that Works for Everyone.”
