I plan on talking things through with each of the remaining party leaders. I will be keeping the public informed as to the status of [the] negotiation as best I can.

Do you think your position as leader would remain secured even if you cannot reach a deal and have to sit in opposition?

I would like to think so, however regardless of what occurs, I will be initiating a vote of confidence in myself. It is necessary for me to have the support of my party so that I can continue my work.

are you saying that in the event that you do not become PM that you will be stepping down as LPC leader?

I will seek [the] confidence of the Liberal party. I am not stepping down. I am asking if the party wishes for me to step down.

I don't really want to comment on the internal affairs of a party however I have spoken to FreedomCanada since then and we have a pleasant chat
