The recent by-election in Central Ontario returned a good result for the Pirate Party. Standing as the Pirate candidate, we saw a large increase compared to polling - showing that when we campaign, we can send an effective message to the people of Central Ontario, offering a brighter future and a new direction.
In that spirit, I am standing again in Central Ontario in the forthcoming election. My candidacy will again be representative of a Pirate Party vision that will stand up for the people and the issues that matter to them. Whether itβs on Direct Democracy and allowing local people to have their say and make their voices heard to politicians, or Universal Basic Income that will help ensure a more equal society that provides for working people. Whether it's passing sensible reforms to copyright and patent law to develop a fairer system, or defending your rights and freedoms. This is a Pirate vision that will deliver for Central Ontario - and one that we will seek to highlight over the campaign that is about to unfold.
The Pirate Party will be the voice that delivers for Central Ontario, and for communities across Canada. This campaign will show that and Iβm pleased to be standing once again.
