Sorry if this sounds entitled! I know it sounds like I want to have my cake and eat it too. I'm just cutting expenses anyway I can right now without losing precious memories! I pay 10.69 a month for a family share plan for Apple ICloud services. Max capacity is 2TB. I'm currently using 419GB with other family members using 55GB of the allotted 2TB. The immediate and only plan downgrade from this tier (2TB) is to the 200GB plan for 2.99/month which, obviously, wouldn't be enough room. I realize it's only 130ish bucks a year, but I'm wondering if there's anything free with decent security? Bonus points if I can somehow transfer Photos from my current storage over to the new storage by clicking a button or something. I thought Kaspersky offered a secure cloud, but I must have been confused by their wording because they used the word "cloud" but I think it's just for passwords.
The storage is primarily photos and videos of my kiddos. I don't have a large social media presence and I rarely share pictures of my children online. It's important to me to keep their digital privacy a priority. Am I already getting the best deal with Apple or are there other options out there for me?
Bonus question- is it best to back up things like that on a memory stick thing instead of using a cloud service? (I apologize in advance if I over explained or used wrong terms, I'm not super tech inclined.)
