Question about rinse cycle for hard water folks

Post Body

Do you rinse with vinegar or an alternative method?

My son was getting a rash, and I started to do rinse with vinegar but it never worked. I had my washer looked at by an appliance repairer and it turns out the housing unit for fabric softener dispenser needs to be replaced, so the vinegar was not dispensed properly.

Its an expensive repair and Iā€™m just not sure if its worth it. So Iā€™m looking for other ideas! TIA
