Hi! I'm currently a year 12, close to being finished, and next year I intend to start studying a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours. Right now, I'm conflicted, tossing up whether I should become a organisational or clinical psychologist. See, I'm incredibly interested in Psychology, and I suppose it's been one of my few passions ever since I started taking the class last year, I also really care about people, I desperately want to do the best I can to help them with what they're going through, psychologically. And I suppose, the only reason I've been leaning towards organisational psychology is because I've been told clinical psychology can be quite draining emotionally. That's why I'm posting this, to ask any of you who may have once been in a similar position, and those of you with experience as clinical psychologists, whether clinical psychology is right for me? Is it truly one of the most stressful jobs out there, or is that just a myth? Will I have time for my future family? And for a life outside of work? Thank you all for the help, it means a whole lot to me. Edit: I'm also in Australia, if that's important :-)
